Stars speak on Shoban Babu

Complete Telugu Film industry is in shock with sudden demise of Andhrula Andagadu Shoban Babu and film artists expressed their views as follows:

NANDAMURI BALAKRISHNA Stated:

Hero Nandamuri Balakrishna reviewed his association and relationship with Shoban Babu and stated artists come and go only few actors remain in the hearts of audiences, Shoban Babu is one such actor, he started career with my father's flicks and inspiration was my father and A N R flicks and made his own style as a mark. Its a great association I had with him. His demise is a great loss to me. It would have been good if he would have come for Tollywood 75 year celebrations. N B K stated that he missed him a lot.


A N R Stated :

He is great human being and he was my admirer, he never mingled in personal life with films, he had disciplined and inspiration of many stars.

Superstar Krishna stated

Although both of our films used to compete, we were good friends. Our families are close to each other. We had acted together in many films. Perhaps, we hold the record for doing highest number of multi-starer flicks, my mother used to call him as her son and he used call my mother as mother only.

Krishnam Raju stated :

In those days, people had bad impression on stars and filmdom which was changed by Shoban Babu the complete perception with the way he lead his life. He was the best star that I have seen in my life. He never discouraged anyone. Nor did he badmouthed. Great person, indeed.

Suhasini stated

He is my all time favorite actor and great co-star. When I was in teens, I had huge crush on him. He always lived like a ‘hero’ and still remains my 'hero'. Although, he lived in Chennai, I hardly met him, for which I feel bad now.

In Sarpayagam - Shoban Babu played role of my father which happens to be my second flick. Since then, he remained father figure to me in life and treated me with great affection. I cried only two times in my life - when my father died and now. Shoban Babu gaaru was intellectual person and great human being.

Everybody should note a good quality of Shoban Babu is he never spoke bad of anybody through out his life. He never talked gossips or discussed about other stars or films. I had played to him as son, brother, brother-law and many other roles in his films. Even when I turned hero, he had worked with me in Samsaram in which he starred as my father.
